Inclusive Programs for the LGBTQ+ Community

24 Feb, 2026

JMJ Social Service Society (JMJ SSS) organized inclusive awareness and health support programs for the transgender community in Mahabubnagar and surrounding areas. These initiatives focused on promoting dignity, equality, inclusion, and access to basic healthcare services in line with SDGs 3, 5, and 10. Awareness sessions were conducted to address discrimination, social exclusion, personal health, and human dignity. JMJ SSS encouraged community acceptance and respect for transgender persons through participatory interactions and counselling support. Medical camps were organized at Suraram and Mahabubnagar, where transgender individuals received health check-ups, guidance, and free medicines. The programs helped create a supportive environment and strengthened the confidence and participation of transgender persons in community life. Through these interventions, JMJ SSS promoted social justice, equal opportunities, and inclusion of marginalized groups while building stronger community relationships and awareness regarding the rights and welfare of transgender individuals.
