- Aiding affected people by the floods in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India

The city of Vijayawada has been grappling with severe flooding in recent days, leaving thousands displaced and causing significant damage to houses and infrastructure. JMJ SSS in collaboration with JMJ Sisters, staff, students and local donors has been working tirelessly to provide food, water, and medical supplies to those in need. It has also been involved in rescue operations, assisting in the evacuation of stranded individuals.
In the working areas of JMJSSS around Guntur there are around 200 families, the most marginalized communities living at the peripheries in low lying areas have been affected by this devastating unprecedented rainfall.
As the situation in Vijayawada continues to evolve, we remain committed to providing support to the affected communities. We strongly believe our efforts are crucial in ensuring that the most vulnerable individuals receive the assistance they need like clean water, food, shelter, healthcare and psycho social support, to recover from this disaster to normal life.
